The Funeral - Band of Horses
You put on The Funeral and people around you wonder why it sounds so familiar. It's because Kid Cudi (I guess you guys can sense that I am a Kid Cudi fan), sampled it really well in The Prayer. This song has so many levels, that it becomes real trippy. The song is really chill, and is a quality in music that I love. A song where you can kick back and listen to the music.

Man on the Moon - Kid Cudi
No other hip/hop song in the last 5 years comes close to the sentiment of Man on the Moon. Man on the Moon illustrates clearly the thoughts of Kid Cudi, along with the sentimentality and reflections upon his life. The beat is outstanding and the lyrics are quite inspirational in their own way. Man on the Moon is the epitome of an artist. An artist, in my opinion, is someone who is not afraid to step out of his/her comfort zone. Kid Cudi is a perfect example of an artist and this song is crazy good :)
Close my eyes, hide in the dark
It's a curtain call, come on come on
All I do is try to make it simple
The ones that make it complicated
Never get congratulated
I'm something different in all aspects
Don't want a woman just to love her assets
I Still wife her up even with her flat chest
The type to get hurt
But that's the past tense
Close my eyes, hide in the dark
It's a curtain call, come on come on
All I do is try to make it simple
The ones that make it complicated
Never get congratulated
I'm something different in all aspects
Don't want a woman just to love her assets
I Still wife her up even with her flat chest
The type to get hurt
But that's the past tense
